Devilkat Whoever invented alternate universes (AU) male or female, I could just kiss them. Whether they like it or not. This here is an Alternate Universe.  One where my characters and Midnight's characters meet.   And boy, do they enjoy the meeting. I am very proud to say, this was my idea originally.  I have experience with collaboration writing (although it was face to face over a typewriter with someone in my same town not across the country)  It just seemed reasonable to suggest it to Midnight, after she was kind enough to cheer my writing on.  I liked hers too, but I felt bad for Damian the more I heard about his world. It was so rough.  The guy never got a break.  Deserved a vacation. In my world. I beg you to believe, this miserable woman laughed in my face when I first suggested a collaboration.  (Well via email but the intent was there).  But she also was brave enough to start the whole thing off. "The whole thing" was gonna be about twenty pages, probably a comedy piece.  I mean, Damian comes to Khesh and screws everyone. I think we're on about page 300 now, and ready to share with the world. It's not a polished thing, it's what we do together to have fun.  Our styles started out different and remain so, but I think we've meshed together pretty well and learned more about our own characters through doing this. So read at your own riskthe private world of two nutballs. For those who are reading my Wizard/Warrior thingy it occurs probably five years after Firehawk and Carson have kicked ass on the whole Southern and Eastern world.  Although since this is AU, they might not have really done so. Midnight's two cents worth. Well, I personally think Devilkat explained our not so little endeavor here with a flare only she is capable of. I thank the gods she has a gift for explanation, otherwise you good people would still be waiting to view this page <g> Let me start off by saying, I'm a huge fan of Wizards and Warriors! was from the very first chapter I pestered her to death for.  It would have never in a million years occurred to me to suggest a crossover, treading on sacred ground as it were. So when she so casually suggested it, I was floored! Honored beyond words but still floored. Yes I did laugh, I do that when I'm tickled speechless lol <See I'm doing it again! So with that said, I will point out this work of fiction will contain lots of spoilers from my original series. It has also helped me to delve deeper into the mind of one of my most favorite characters. I mean really get inside his head and see what makes him tick. Damian is a better man/character for it or at least I think so. A lot of what you will read is examination and exploration of our characters. And of course a lot smut just for the sake of smut. I used to prefer the phrase "Artistic sexual expression" but however since I've been working with DevilKat (Fun as hell BTW) the word 'smut' has taken on a unique kind of charm for me <BG> So please enjoy and sigh the guest book to let us know what you think...it would be deeply appreciated <bg>
